Meta has launched a new feature that allows users (on the Facebook app) to add music clips to their comments. Nothing serious, other than the company is trying to add context to the way users reply.

You can now include music clips in your post comments. Meta is giving users a new way to engage and perhaps encourages them to listen to their favourite tunes and promote artists in the comments.
Just as in your Stories, you can search for tracks by tapping on the music note symbol at the right of the comment panel. It is also possible to submit a sample of the tune, which might be used to provide context for your comments, and link others through to new music/artists.
Who knows, the new Facebook feature might increase engagement by app users as it could be useful in certain situations.
In talking about user engagements, Facebook recorded a loss of a million daily users in the 18 years the social media site launched. The company revealed in its latest financial results that it lost one million daily users, dropping to 1.929 billion in the three months leading to December, from 1.93 billion at the end of its previous quarter.
Shortly after that, the company launched TikTok like feature, Reels on Facebook globally, including in more than 20 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. Earlier this month it added a new “sharing to Reels” feature that lets Facebook users post Reels from third-party apps. With this update, third-party app developers will be able to add a “Reels button” to their apps, allowing their users to post videos straight to Reels and use the editing features of that app.
