Manchester United forward and Portugal’s senior football team skipper, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first individual to hit 400 million followers on Instagram.
The football icon who turned 37 years old a few days ago in 2017 became the first male to hit 100 million. In 2020, he became the first person to have 200 million followers and in 2021 became the first person with 300 million followers.
Ronaldo’s activities on Instagram are centered around family, football, fitness routine, and occasional promotions.
The Portugal international is second only to Instagram’s official handle that boats 469m followers as of Feb. 7.
The football maestro is followed by Kylie Jenner who became the first woman to hit 300 million followers last month.
Ronaldo has many accolades to his name having won five champions league and the prestigious Balon D’or award five times also.
The former Real Madrid forward was honored at FIFA The Best awards last month after becoming the men’s top goalscorer in the history of FIFA competitions with 115 goals.
The Portuguese reunited with Manchester United last summer after he left in 2008 to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.
