Barack Obama’s tweet is now the most liked tweet of all time. It was a well intended response by the former President but it captured the hearts of his people. Barack Obama was responding to the violent clash between hate groups and protesters that happened in Charlottesville.

He tweeted three times and Twitter said one of the tweets was the most-liked tweet in Twitter history.

The three tweets actually make up a quote from Nelson Mandela’s 1994 autobiography “Long Walk to Freedom”.

The first tweet was accompanied by an image of young children looking down at Mr Obama through a window. Photographer Pete Souza took the photo in 2011 at a daycare facility next to Mr Obama’s daughter Sasha’s school in Bethesda, Maryland. As at the time of writing this post, it has garnered over 4.276 million likes.

The previous most-liked post on Twitter – with 2.7 million likes – was Ariana Grande’s tweet following the Manchester bombing in May 2017. The third tweet spot belongs to Ellen DeGeneres’ famous 2014 Oscars selfie with 2.418 million likes holds the third most-liked tweet spot.

Wow! That’s astounding! It’s a backlash on Trump’s comment on Charlottesville incident that got people really angry. Barack Obama will continue to be missed by the Americans as the greatest African-American president in history. Those quotes from him are landmarks.
