This is taking Product Sampling to another level. Pepsi wanted to create a new way of sampling. An easy way to engage with consumers and know who was liking and drinking their product at the same time. That’s why they say, they created the Pepsi Like Machine. They combined technology and social media into a “Pepsi Like Machine”.
Pepsi teamed up with TBWA Belgium to create a Like Vending machine that won’t accept money, only Likes.
This is how it works:
- Go close to the Vending machine
- If you have a smartphone, Like Pepsi’s Facebook page.
- Choose your favorite Pepsi and a free can will be dispensed.
If you do not have a smartphone, you can use the built-in touch screen.
- Enter your details on the screen, like Pepsi’s Facebook page
- Choose your favorite Pepsi and a free can will be dispensed.
First test was at the 2013 Beyonce concert in Antwerp.
Lucky fans at the Beyonce concert in Antwerp were the first to test out the latest marketing campaign from the combined efforts of Pepsi and TBWA Belgium. Pepsi claims the fans loved it. Interesting how this will help the “Pepsi” brand.
Check out the video after the cut.
