At the conclusion of the collaborative Saudi-Egyptian VMS Bridge programme, ten innovative Egyptian startups have emerged as victors, each securing prestigious awards.
The VMS Bridge programme is designed to foster growth and expansion for startups on local, regional, and international levels. It serves as a conduit between the entrepreneurial communities of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, aiming to create a seamless transition for businesses venturing between the two nations.
In the inaugural edition of the programme, ten Egyptian startups have been distinguished as winners. Among these, five enterprises have been awarded a prize that encompasses a four-day trip to Saudi Arabia. This visit will provide them with a valuable opportunity to engage with potential investors and delve into the Saudi Arabian investment landscape.
The five startups reaping this reward are:
- Amanleek, an online platform dedicated to providing insurance services to individuals and businesses.
- Farhy, a comprehensive online hub for organizing celebratory events, offering a range of products and services.
- Sprints, a provider of educational programs focused on technology.
- Career180, a digital platform aimed at training and employment services.
- Jamaykaa, a digital platform that facilitates businesses in showcasing and selling their products with ease.
In addition, two startups associated with the Rally Entrepreneurship Accelerator, which is part of the Entrepreneurship Centre at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, have been recognized by VMS. These startups, Notchnco and Neqabty, have been granted awards that include a complimentary business license to operate in Saudi Arabia. Notchnco specializes in enhancing customer-company communication via WhatsApp and other social media channels, while Neqabty is an app designed to link unions with their members.
Furthermore, three startups with a focus on environmental conservation and community service have been honored with a prize from Arweqah. This prize grants them free access to Arweqah’s training program. The triumphant companies in this category are AgriCash, a digital platform aimed at financing small-scale farmers; ReNile, which is engaged in the Internet of Things sector within agriculture; and ICareer, a platform dedicated to educational services that lead to employment.
