Safaricom, a telecom company in Kenya, has established a new engagement platform called “Grow with Safaricom Business” aimed at helping Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) expand their businesses.
According to the company’s statement, the platform will provide Kenyan MSMEs with a space to exchange information and collaborate on crucial developments in the digital economy.
The platform will host a series of workshops and seminars throughout the year, providing a forum for MSMEs to discuss ways digital technology can be leveraged to broaden their market reach, optimize operations, and build a strong internet brand presence.
The discussions will cover various topics including cloud solutions, cyber security, internet for businesses, internet of things, and M-Pesa for Business. Additionally, experts will guide businesses through regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and support long-term growth.
“Safaricom recognizes the crucial role that MSMEs play in driving economic growth and prosperity in Kenya”, said Cynthia Kropac, Safaricom’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer.
She further explained that the “Grow with Safaricom Business” series is designed to equip MSMEs with the knowledge and skills they need to sustainably accelerate their growth and overcome challenges such as digitization of operations, limited market access, regulatory barriers, branding, and digital marketing skills deficit.
“We aim to expand this series to offer MSMEs the opportunity to take advantage of our wide network, experience, and dedication to innovation to grow and flourish in the digital era”, she added.
