    SA startup Cue secures $500k funding to modernize AI-powered customer service

    Cue has announced raising $500,000 in pre-seed funding to accelerate its mission to help businesses deliver faster customer service using the next generation of LLM-powered AI models on the Cue platform.

    Founded in 2018, Cue enables businesses to help customers quickly and efficiently with chatbots and live chat on WhatsApp and social channels. The startup has worked with over 300 clients in the last five years, and recently expanded to the United Kingdom (UK).

    The startup said in a statement;

    Cue aims to deliver quick, smooth, and personalized customer service experiences, significantly reducing wait times and operational costs for businesses. This funding allows Cue to do exactly that.

    In the last year, the Cue platform has delivered impressive results to many businesses in various industries. Just a few examples include:

    • 77x return on investment by automating insurance quotes on WhatsApp
    • 73% reduction in customer service costs for an insurance provider
    • More than doubled sales conversion rate for an education provider
    • Over 95% reduction in print marketing costs for a retailer with increased sales revenue

    As more and more consumers adopt mobile messaging for interacting with businesses, we can expect to see a further shift in the market to using these kinds of tools to create convenient and helpful customer experiences.

    Customer service is a core part of every business and so the startup sees huge potential in what they’re doing to improve the speed and effectiveness of this around the world.

    This new funding enables Cue to accelerate its efforts and they can’t wait to share more of what we have planned in the next few months.
