Samsung’s been recalling the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 7 due to reported issues of exploding batteries inflicting flesh burns and setting vehicles alight, it was solely a matter of time to start out hearing a couple of lawsuit case. Well, Samsung Electronics Co was sued on September 16 by a Florida man who said he suffered severe burns when his Galaxy Note 7 smartphone exploded in his front pants pocket.

The man named Jonathan Strobel filed a case against Samsung which could be the first of its kind within the US. Keeping with reports, the phone blew up in his pocket while he was in a Costco on September 9th which caused deep second-degree burns to his right thigh, furthermore on his thumb when he tried to get rid of the phone

“Samsung is a big corporation and they control the information that’s put out. They obviously knew what was wrong (with the phone),” he said. “Unfortunately for Mr. Strobel, it was too late for the mandatory recall,”, Strobel’s lawyer said.

When Samsung first declared that it’s taking back units it already shipped, there were only 35 reported cases of batteries overheating. That variety recently climbed till it reached 92 cases

As for Strobel, he’s currently seeking damages for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, in conjunction with alternative injuries. And oh, on his Facebook page, Strobel’s profile picture is an Apple logo with the text: “The new iPhone7: It doesn’t explode.”
