Rumours of Apple is planning to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack connector for the iPhone 7 have been swirling around lately and now we’ve got a leaked photo of what could possibly be the company’s next-gen EarPods, complete with Lightning connector a few hours before Apple’s Keynote event.
The picture first appeared on Chinese social network Weibo over the weekend. The Weibo picture looks legit but it could be a fake but it seems like more evidence are pointing out that Apple’s next flagship might actually come with lightning EarPods, other leaks also suggests we might really get to see the end of the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
The rumours about the next gen gadgets first emerged last year right after the company started selling $800 Audeze EL-8 Titanium headphones, complete with Lightning connector, at its online Apple Store and select brick-and-mortar retail outlets in the U.S. and Canada but we’d still have to wait this September to see what Apple has in store for us.
