Today, Nokia is introducing the Lumia Icon (a high-end Windows Phone) but is making it only available in the united States for Verizon Wireless.

According to Nokia, it is built for those who demand more from their phones and don’t want to compromise when it comes to how this life companion captures each moment of their daily lives.

The Nokia Lumia Icon features a thin and light frame that is enriched with premium design touches, including an aluminum construction with ceramic keys. Coming in at just 5.8 oz and dimensions of 5.39” x 2.79” x 0.39”, this sleek performer gives the power you need without weighing you down.

Nokia Lumia Icon features a quad-core processor running at 2.2 GHz and a full HD OLED display with curved glass and aluminum ring that gives a smooth and ergonomic feel in a sturdy, quality package. It also features a 2,420 mAh battery that supports built-in wireless charging.

With a 20-megapixel sensor and Carl Zeiss optics, you can get the ideal shot in any lighting and any setting. The wide-angle lens and single-finger 2x lossless zoom is unmatched amongst other camera phones available today. Also, with an aperture of f/2.4, Lumia Icon’s camera lets in more light for great photos in low-light settings.

This new device has a crystal-clear 20-megapixel camera based on Nokia’s award-winning PureView technology and Zeiss optics.

Speaking of video, this video powerhouse features four lossless microphones that capture omnidirectional audio in full stereo. This means you’ll record video exactly how you remember it, thanks to our high-performance digital mics, noise reduction and those magical software algorithms.

Nokia put the Lumia Icon to the test against two super loud muscle cars racing down a Las Vegas speedway. The results definitely don’t disappoint, with audio and video coming in crystal clear despite the rumble and roar of the cars’ engines revving in the background.

Check out the video yourself to see how the device fared against the background noise.

The Nokia Lumia Icon will go on sale on Thursday, February 20 at your local Verizon Wireless store and online and VerizonWireless.com for a price of $199.99 with a two-year activation. Microsoft Stores are taking pre-orders for Lumia Icon and offering a free Nokia Wireless Charging accessory for those that purchase before March 16, 2014.
