Here is a video of how rats are being used to clear deadly landmines in Africa.
The video was put up by a Canadian newspaper, The Globe and Mail. It shows how the hero rats are being used to clear landmines in countries like Mozambique. It is said that rats can find mines 20 times faster than people.
The UN estimates that 7.9 million people live in areas polluted by landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW). Another 4.7 million pass through mine affected areas as a result of seasonal or annual migration.
