The 5th edition of HACKJOS has been scheduled to hold from November 1st to 2nd, 2019 at the Jos Business School, Rayfield, Jos Plateau State, Nigeria.

The event renamed HACKJOSCON 2019 is a 3-day event for software, mobile apps and startup competition aimed at stirring interests among young people in entrepreneurship, software development and the entire spectrum of ICT.

The program will be officially opened with a ceremony on October 30, 2019.

HACKJOSCON will also feature conference and pitching as well as networking for stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

The theme for the HACKJOSCON 2019 is: ‘Fostering Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to Create Opportunities for Shared Prosperity among Nigerian Youths’. The event will feature keynote addresses, stellar panels of experts, exhibition and presentations.

This year’s edition is being co-hosted by Jos Startup Ecosystem members; Jos Angel Network, Qitech Technologies Limited, Plateau State Information Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA) and Jos Business School.

There will be discussions on ‘Local Entrepreneurship: Opportunities and Challenges,’ a key focus of the Plateau State government under Governor Simon Lalong to rework Plateau State as a major hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The CEO OF nHub Nigeria and convener of HACKJOSCON 2019, Theodore Longji said, “As is a norm now, we look to the presence of international stakeholders and the local ICT community in Jos this November to help foster interest among young people in software development, entrepreneurship and the entire spectrum of ICT.

“We are looking to further build a community of entrepreneurs and new levels of collaboration for the business health of not just Plateau State but the whole of Nigeria through this year’s event.”
