Rumours regarding Facebook’s upcoming Notify news app have swirled. Today, the social network giant unveiled the new app which aims to deliver timely and relevant news notifications to users.
This app isn’t meant to just provide breaking news in a single category, but covers a variety of different markets, including weather, sports, news, and even carries access to historical images by way of Getty.
Notifications will be provided for a story throughout a day as more information is provided, and the notifications themselves can be tweaked for the stories and topics a user will want to be notified on.
Users will also be able to save notifications to a save later option, so if they want to check up on something later that’s a possibility as well.
Notify is now in the iOS App Store but currently available to the US.
