Facebook Messenger Adds A Multiple Account Feature To Its Android App

Facebook Messenger latest update adds multiple account support on Messenger for Android which allows you to have multiple accounts.

Different people can log in to the Messenger app on an Android device. For example, your loved ones or family members can use Messenger on a single tablet device without having to log out and log in every time.

Multiple accounts allows users to maintain several different Facebook or non-facebook Messenger accounts on the app. The first time you switch accounts, you’ll be asked for the log-in password. After that, you can choose whether you want to be asked for the password.

Notifications for all the accounts will be shown, but you will not be able to see the messages of another account. Others will only see the number of notifications. You’ll have to switch to that account and only then will you be able to view and read the messages.

Adding a new account on the Messenger app for Android is easy. You’ll need to navigate to Settings of the app and look for the ‘Accounts’ section. Now, add a new account using required credentials and that’s it.

The update is currently rolling out on Google Play Store, so it could take some time to reach your device.
