Edura, an Egyptian ed-tech startup established in 2021, has successfully garnered an undisclosed pre-seed funding. The aim of the funding is to enhance the platform’s features, develop research and innovation, and expand operations.

Edura serves as an interactive platform connecting students and teachers for either live or recorded lessons. The platform offers various innovative services such as interactive learning sessions, online assessments, and evaluations of students’ progress during their studies.

As of 2023, Edura has hosted over 7,000 educational lectures provided by more than 2,400 registered educators on the platform. Currently, it caters to over 190,000 students of all learning levels, conducting over 10,000 academic events, exams, and activities.

Smart Zone Startups Studio led the pre-seed funding round and included contributions from several angel investors. The funds will be utilized to improve the platform’s functionality, grow its operations, enhance the development team, and advance research and innovation in ed-tech.

Additionally, the funds will enable Edura to grow its customer base and form strategic partnerships for sustainable success.

With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the education sector witnessed a significant transformation and a pressing need for educational platforms that combine traditional and modern methods. Edura comes to meet those needs and overcome the challenges of online learning by providing an interactive environment that connects students and teachers, ensuring a professional and high-quality educational experience. We also strive to provide all the necessary tools for teachers and empower them to simulate actual lectures within classrooms.
