Over the last few months, Lagos-based Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) had been testing its new product FastorNot.ng which allows users to see which internet service provider is fast in their neighborhood. Now, the service can now be used by everyone.

A statement announcing the launch revealed what the product is about.

Have you ever been in that position where you want to buy a new ISP and you are calling friends to get recommendations – well, we too have been there. Maybe you were left pissed when the ISP didn’t perform up to the the lofty expectations set by your friends (hint: the provider isn’t that good in that particular location), we understand 🙂

FastOrNot is described as a simple tool that helps users to compare the performance of ISPs across different locations in Lagos.

The developers stated: “Yes, it’s that simple. With FastOrNot, you can also discover the best internet provider in your neighborhood, the ISP with the best cost to speed ratio or find out tips on how to save data.

“We are thrilled to open FastOrNot to the public. You can visit the website FastOrNot.ng to check the performance of ISPs in your neighborhood. Data on the platform is crowdsourced, so we need need you to contribute your internet speed to the service; and the process is simple: Visit FastOrNot.ng [and] Click on “Test your internet” speed.”
