Twelve innovative startups have been selected to showcase their products and services at the Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, taking place on February 11–12. The annual gathering aims to connect high‑potential African tech ventures with global investors and strategic partners, fostering greater access to capital and scaling opportunities across the continent.

As one of Africa’s premier technology and investment events, Africa Tech Summit Nairobi brings together a broad cross-section of ecosystem players—including technology leaders, mobile network operators, banks, international investors, entrepreneurs, government stakeholders, trade associations, media, and high‑growth ventures. The summit provides a platform for dialogue, deal flow, and collaboration aimed at strengthening Africa’s digital economy.

A key highlight of the event is the Investment Showcase, where select early‑stage and growth‑stage companies pitch live to an audience of investors. The summit has now revealed the 12 ventures chosen for this year’s showcase.

    Kenya (4 startups)

    • Innobid – Uses AI to democratise access to procurement opportunities for underserved and marginalised entrepreneurs.
    • Pretium – Builds infrastructure bridging traditional payment rails with blockchain technology.
    • TIBU Health – Delivers innovative models for primary and chronic healthcare, improving access for underserved communities.
    • Zerobionic – A disability‑led company transforming plastic waste into AI‑powered humanoid robots capable of translating speech into real‑time sign language.

    Nigeria (4 startups)

    • Niteon – Creates visibility and fair opportunities for millions of African manufacturers and farmers who are often underpaid and disconnected from global markets.
    • Timart – Tackles inventory management challenges faced by Nigerian SMEs.
    • Vepay – Enables fast, secure, and seamless cross‑border payments across Africa.
    • Winich Farms – Links smallholder farmers directly to markets and financial services, improving livelihoods and reducing inefficiencies.

    Egypt (2 startups)

    • Bekia – Digitalises waste collection to improve recycling rates and help businesses reduce environmental impact.
    • Chefaa – Addresses limited access to recurring prescription medication in fragmented pharmacy markets, supporting patient adherence through technology.

    Zambia (1 startup)

    • Bosso Africa – Streamlines the traditionally slow, fragmented process of sourcing construction materials across the continent.

    Pan‑African (1 startup)

    • Hizo – Aims to revolutionise intra‑African payments by enabling faster, more reliable, and more interoperable cross‑border transactions.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Mugenwa, Business Development Manager at Africa Tech Summit, said:

Driving investment is the core goal of the Africa Tech Summit. This year’s selected cohort features ventures that are solving Africa’s challenges through sustainable, scalable impact models. These companies have demonstrated exceptional traction, and we look forward to hosting them—alongside the wider ecosystem—in Nairobi next month.
