Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has expressed it would be an exciting 2016 for the internet.org project since it will be launching the Aquila project and the AMOS-6 project this year which will provide nternet Access across Sub Saharan Africa
He said on his Facebook page that Facebook is building technology to connect everyone by beaming down internet access from solar-powered planes and satellites using lasers.
On the Aquila project, the Aquila aircraft will soon carry out its first flight. The Aquila aircraft is a solar powered unmanned plane that beams down internet connectivity from the sky. It has a wingspan larger than a Boeing 737 but weighs less than a car. It can also stay in the air for several months at a time.
