Zambia will hold its first ever e-commerce expo this year in June at the Mulungushi Conference Centre under an inspiring theme “E-commerce – A Catalyst in Zambia’s Economic Growth.“

This event is solely dedicated to promoting e-commerce in Zambia and it will provide a unique platform for organizations to interact and connect with more consumers while creating public awareness about e-commerce.

E-commerce is poised to grow rapidly over the next few years as more people get access to the internet and therefore, this expo is a great opportunity for us to forge the future together

The expo content will include Online Banking, Fintech, Digital Marketing, Mobile banking, Cyber Security, Online Payments, Internet access, last mile delivery, Mobile Applications and e-commerce websites. One of the unique features of this event is that it will have a special section for SME’s dubbed “SME Highway”. This is in recognition of the fact that many upcoming small businesses are trying to leverage e-commerce in their strategy, therefore, the expo will facilitate an interactive platform where SME’s can interact and understand how they can use services provided by entities such as Airtel.

The Expo will also run concurrently with live pitches and interviews on stage. The Expo will be held annually in order to keep the public and business community constantly engaged with the latest trends and innovations in e-commerce as well as maintain an active platform for the exchange of ideas.

The expo is organized by the Institute of Finance and Economics (IFE) a Zambian organization founded by Dr. Caleb Fundanga, the former Bank of Zambia Governor, whose organizations principle focus is promoting financial access, Mobile Sporting Limited a Zambian company specializing in e-commerce and IT and West Indigo LLC a United States of America registered company with a large span of activities from oil and gas to IT.

For more information on the event, sponsorship and advertising offers, please do not hesitate to contact them on expo@ifezambia.org or expo@mobilesporting.com to further discuss your participation.
