Yves Guillemot, Founder & CEO of French video games giant Ubisoft S.A. has invested and undisclosed amount in Franco-Nigerian startup Africa Delivery Technologies SAS, operator of the Kwik Delivery service in Nigeria
The investment, part of Kwik’s ongoing Series A round, aims to allow the company to scale up in Nigeria as delivery platforms have proven an essential link to Africa last-mile delivery supply chains in the current context.
Kwik Delivery launched in Nigeria on the 26th June 2019 and it aims to become the first platform for last-mile delivery in urban areas in Nigeria before extending its scope to neighbouring countries. It is headed by Romain Poirot-Lellig, Founder & CEO of Africa Delivery Technologies (ADT).
Kwik connects independent delivery partners, either owner and/or drivers of a vehicle, with customers who need reliable, affordable and flexible delivery solutions. The Kwik app comes with an integrated geolocation system and offers an efficient transportation service for small packages (up to 25kg) or documents, following the same model as Go-Jek, Uber or Taxify.
Founded in 1986 by Yves Guillemot and his brothers, Ubisoft publishes games for several video game franchises, including Rayman, Raving Rabbids, Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance, and Tom Clancy
