YouTube has unveiled a new mobile app called YouTube Create to make Shorts or longer videos, allowing creators to edit, soundtrack, add captions and more — all from their mobile phones.
YouTube Create, currently in beta on Android in eight specific countries, is a cost-free platform created to streamline and simplify video production for both Shorts and extended video content. The countries are The U.S., Germany, France, United Kingdom, Indonesia, India, Korea, and Singapore.
The application provides a range of video editing features such as precise editing and trimming, automated captioning, voiceover capabilities, and access to a library containing filters, effects, transitions, as well as royalty-free music integrated with beat matching technology. This empowers creators to craft their upcoming YouTube videos effortlessly, eliminating the need for intricate editing software.
The company says it will continue to work with the creator community as it adds new features and capabilities over time.
