Google has launched YouTube Gaming, a competitor to Amazon’s Twitch. Blending gaming videos and live streams, YouTube Gaming brings you closer to the games, gamers, and culture that matter to you.
YouTube Gaming keeps you connected to a world of gamers with the broadest mix of videos and live streams — all designed around games and gaming channels. Whether online or via an app, you can explore more than 25,000 titles, hone your skills, and take part in the deepest gaming culture online.
The service was first announced in June of this year
You can find the English-language website (gaming.youtube.com) in any country where YouTube is available, or download the phone and tablet app from Google Play and the App Store, in the U.S. and U.K.
Other countries will be coming soon.
Last year Google-owned YouTube had tried to buy popular video game live streaming site Twitch but a deal could not be reached, Amazon came along to buy the site for nearly $1billion.
