Xiaomi has officially launched two new smartphones in Nigeria—the budget-friendly Redmi 15 and the flagship-class Xiaomi 15T—as part of a dual-track strategy to serve value seekers and power users alike. Both devices are already listed on Xiaomi’s Nigeria site, with local partners confirming retail availability from today.
According to Xiaomi Nigeria’s Country Manager, Xingyu, while emphasizing the importance of the Nigerian market in Xiaomi’s global strategy:
“Nigeria is one of the most vibrant smartphone markets in Africa. With the Xiaomi 15T, we are bringing world-class innovation, and with the REDMI 15, we are delivering power and reliability at an affordable price. Together, they represent Xiaomi’s vision to serve every type of user.”
Xiaomi 15T: flagship photography, premium build

Positioned as Xiaomi’s new mainstream flagship for Nigeria, the Xiaomi 15T features Leica-tuned triple cameras (50MP main with Light Fusion 800 sensor and OIS, 46mm telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide), a 6.83-inch 120Hz eye-care display, and 67W HyperCharge feeding a 5,500mAh battery. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS with a roadmap to HyperOS 3 via OTA, and is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Extras include IP68 water/dust resistance, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, in-display fingerprint, NFC, IR blaster, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. Xiaomi also highlights Xiaomi Astral/Offline Communication features rolling out by OTA in supported markets.
The Xiaomi 15T is available in three colours—Black, Gray, and Rose Gold—and is available in one premium variant: 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and priced at ₦715,800.
Redmi 15: big battery, big screen value

Aimed at everyday users, students and families, the Redmi 15 leans into endurance and display size: a 7,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, plus a 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD with up to 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is Snapdragon 685 (4G), paired with up to 8GB RAM/256GB storage (with memory extension), and an IP64 rating for dust/splash resistance. Imaging is handled by a 50MP AI dual camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie camera. It ships with HyperOS.
The Redmi 15 is available in Midnight Black, Titan Gray, and Sandy Purple, giving users a mix of classic and trendy styles. Consumers can choose between two storage variants: 6GB+128GB priced at ₦186,400 and 8GB+256GB priced at ₦212,900.
Availability: nationwide retail and online
Xiaomi says both phones are available immediately through authorized partners, including Finet, Raya, 3C Hub, Slot and other nationwide retailers, with online sales via Jumia also highlighted. Xiaomi Nigeria’s launch posts and event page reinforce the local rollout and marketing push (including a “double launch” theme).
Why these two matter for Nigeria
Xiaomi’s pairing underscores a “flagship + value” approach: the 15T brings Leica-grade photography and IP68 durability at a price below many rival flagships, while Redmi 15 offers an unusually large battery and screen at accessible price points—appealing in markets where power reliability and media consumption are key buying drivers. The company’s Nigeria product pages and the 15T spec sheet emphasize meaningful upgrades (sensor quality, thermals with 3D IceLoop, and improved charging longevity) that should translate into day-to-day gains.
