Can you imagine that a tweet from Kylie Jenner caused Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, to lose $1.3 billion in its market value? Shares of the company sank 6.1 percent on Thursday after the tweet.
All she said was “sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me…ugh this is so bad.

At 22, Kylie Jenner is the youngest of the Kardashian clan (the daughter of Kris and sibling to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Kendall). Here is a social media influencer that has over 24.5 million followers on Twitter. After her tweet, most of her followers tweeted in agreement.
Even though she later tweeted “Still love you tho snap,” the damage was already done.
