Imagine leaving a conference and getting to a car lot with a lot of Uber Cars waiting for their passengers, how would you know which one is for you?
Well, Uber has thought of this and has come up with a new feature called Uber SPOT. With Uber SPOT, rider and drivers can connect through the use of color.
Starting from today in Seattle, US (sorry not Nigeria yet), Uber is testing this feature.
According to Uber,
We’ve provided some of our local driver partners with SPOT devices that are attached to their car windshields. When a rider requests a trip and is matched with a SPOT-enabled driver, the rider will be asked to select a color in the app while waiting. The rider can even light up their phone screen by pressing and holding on the color to help the driver quickly identify them. When the driver arrives, the SPOT device on his or her windshield will glow in the rider’s chosen color.
This is the latest cool feature from Uber and it should make pickups as seamless as possible. With this, this could lead to shorter wait times.
