This week, Microsoft released the latest Insider Preview Build 25126. The new update is for the Dev channel and includes improvements to the Account Settings tab, which is the build’s main focus. Aside from that, there are a slew of bug fixes. Here’s a rundown of what’s new.
What’s New in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25126?
Windows 11 added a subscription information page to the Account Settings page in October to reflect Microsoft Office 365 transactions. This feature has been upgraded to show all supported Office perpetual products associated with a user’s account, such as Office 2021 or Office 2019 subscriptions.
By choosing the “View Details” button, you can acquire information on the 365 Office products and even install Office. By going to Settings -> Account, you can see the new update.
One thing to keep in mind is that Microsoft has only recently begun sending the revised Account Settings page to Insiders, so it won’t be available to everyone. The business wants to gather input first before rolling out the feature to all Insiders.
Apart from the Settings enhancements, the Insider Preview Build 25126 doesn’t bring anything new to the table. There are patches for issues including a bugcheck with error DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL in pci.sys that causes a rollback when trying to install the build, and the explorer.exe crash issue when using Search.
More difficulties include a reverse image preview in Personalization, the touchpad disappearing while docked when modifying the name of a folder in Start, and more. You can see the complete changelog by clicking here.
Microsoft delivered Windows 11 Build 25120 to the Dev channel last week, and this fresh build comes after that. This release adds a new search bar widget to the home screen, allowing you to search the web directly from there. A number of bug fixes were also included.
You should be aware that the current Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25126 is only for Insiders, and there are slim odds that it will be released to the general public. We’ll keep you updated on this and other Windows 11 builds as they become available.
