WildyNess raises pre-seed funding round to scale sustainable travel across MENA

WildyNess, a Tunis-based traveltech startup specializing in community-based tourism (CBT) and sustainable travel experiences, has successfully closed a strategic pre-seed funding round to accelerate its regional expansion and strengthen its technology platform. The funding amount remains undisclosed, but the round was co-led by Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network, marking a significant milestone for North Africa’s emerging travel technology ecosystem.

Founded in 2021 by engineers Achraf Aouadi and Rym Bourguiba, WildyNess operates a B2C/B2B2C marketplace that connects conscious travelers with curated, authentic experiences co-created with local micro-entrepreneurs. The platform emphasizes cultural immersion, economic empowerment, and sustainable tourism, offering travelers meaningful alternatives to mass-market attractions.

Since its 2022 launch, WildyNess has generated over US$300,000 in organic sales—without any paid marketing—demonstrating strong market demand and validating its business model.

In a statement, WildyNess co-founder Achraf Aouadi noted:

This investment validates our thesis: the future of travel is not in volume, but in authenticity and impact. Travelers are seeking genuine connections, not generic attractions. With the support of Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network, we’re ready to export this Tunisian success story across the MENA region.

Use of Funds and Expansion Plans

The newly raised capital will be used to:

    • Expand operations into Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE
    • Enhance the technology infrastructure to support platform scalability
    • Strengthen partnerships with local tourism micro-businesses across the region

This funding round positions WildyNess as the first and only B2C/B2B2C travel marketplace in North Africa to secure early-stage investment, signaling a shift toward experience-led, sustainable tourism as a high-growth vertical in the region.

Investors from Bridging Angels praised the WildyNess team for their disciplined execution and customer-centric approach:

We are proud to support African startups and entrepreneurs who not only bring a fresh take on their industries but do so with relentless discipline and constant care for their customers. WildyNess and the team are a perfect example of that.

A New Chapter for Regional Traveltech

WildyNess’s success reflects a broader trend in African innovation—where startups are increasingly focused on impact-driven models that combine technology, local empowerment, and global scalability. As the company prepares to enter new markets, it aims to redefine how travelers engage with destinations, prioritizing authenticity, community benefit, and sustainability.
