Whogohost, a prominent African digital infrastructure provider, has embarked on a transformative journey by rebranding itself as GO54, signaling a new era of growth and empowerment for businesses across the continent.
CEO of GO54, Toluwani Adejuyigbe, expressed the company’s dedication to serving businesses in the digital age, stating, “Today marks a significant milestone as we evolve into dedicated business partners for online enterprises. Our mission is clear: to empower individuals and businesses to thrive in the digital realm. We recognise the pivotal role of the online world and aim to be a trusted ally every step of the way.”
The name ‘GO54’ derives its essence from the former name, Whogohost, with ‘GO’ symbolising the driving force behind businesses as they transition online, and ’54’ representing the ambitious goal of serving all 54 African nations, fostering digital prosperity across the continent.
Adejuyigbe emphasised, “This rebrand goes beyond a mere name change; it signifies our commitment to enabling online presence in an easy, simple, and affordable manner. GO54 serves as a launchpad to the future, equipped with innovation, security, and support to help every individual and business achieve their aspirations.”
Established in 2005, GO54 (formerly Whogohost) has emerged as the largest domain and hosting provider in West Africa, with over 300,000 registered domains. With the rebrand, the company introduces a new suite of offerings aimed at empowering businesses at every stage of their journey. These include an AI-powered website builder, email marketing services, bulk SMS, link-in-bio solutions, and custom payment links.
In 2023, Whogohost (now GO54) acquired SendChamp, a startup specialising in online messaging solutions for African businesses, to enhance its capabilities. This acquisition underscores GO54’s commitment to providing comprehensive digital solutions, catering to marketing messages, one-time passwords (OTPs), and customer support systems for its extensive user base.
Goodness Kayode, co-founder, and CEO of SendChamp, highlighted the synergies between the two companies, affirming their strategic alignment and shared vision for empowering African businesses through digital innovation.
As GO54 embarks on this new chapter, it remains dedicated to its mission of empowering businesses to succeed online. With a track record of excellence, including numerous awards and accolades, GO54 is poised to continue its legacy of supporting businesses across Africa, irrespective of their size or industry.
