WhatsApp Will Start To Feel Less Boring To Use After You Have Done These Two Settings

You know how they say, ‘Variety is the spice of life’? Even something as useful as WhatsApp can get a bit stale if you’re using it the same way every day. Looking at the same green bubble and layout all the time can get boring after a while. But there’s a way to shake things up and make WhatsApp fun again! Just like my new chat theme below.

    1. On your WhatsApp settings, go to “Chats“. You can access the “Settings” page by tapping the three vertical dots at the top right of the app.
    2. Next, select “Default chat theme“, explore the different themes and choose the option that is most appealing to your eyes.
    3. Tap the green circle with the checkmark icon at the top to choose that option.

Another thing you can do to enjoy this ‘green app’ is to set up “Family” and “Friends” as a separate chat list from the default “All“, “Unread“, “Favourites” and “Groups” WhatsApp provides. You can find these at the top (below the general search bar) when you open the app.

    1. Tap the “+” icon, type in the List name you prefer such as “The Willams Family”, “NYSC Friends”, etc.
    2. Next, you will be asked to add the contacts you want to be on this list, and then save.

Instead of just scrolling your “98 chat messages” to see which one to respond to, you can just check for urgent and important messages from the contacts in the list you created. Kindly note that this is different from having a broadcast list.

You learn by doing and so don’t forget to try the two features I shared above. If you found this trick helpful and would like advice on any tech-related issues or challenges you’re facing, send me a DM on WhatsApp. Tap the link: https://wa.me/2347068586392.
