WhatsApp is reportedly testing support for third-party stickers for its web platform.

A WhatsApp beta tester, WABetaInfo, in a screenshot, revealed that users may soon be able to enjoy sticker packs on WhatsApp Web.

Ealier this year, WhatsApp was testing animated stickers for iOS, Android and web.

Altogether, WhatsApp is reportedly also working on an overall revamp of the web platform, which would allow users to run it without needing to link their phones as well.

The plan is to develop a multi-platform system which users can enjoy the service on multiple devices, even when their phones go flat.

The popular messaging app recently executed the ‘frequently forwarded’ feature, in a bid to counter the spread of fake news on the platform.  A grey double arrow icon is appended to frequently forwarded messages.

The Facebook-owned messaging platform, is also working on a feature for its iOS version, which would allow users to save profile picture using 3D Touch, ‘Quick Media Edit’ shortcut and ‘Pinned Alert’ feature.

The Quick Media Edit shortcut will enable users to edit media files inside WhatsApp chat or group conversation. It will also allow users to edit, paste emojis or write on the media file inside the app, they will no longer be required to exit the app and use a third-party editing application.

The features will continue to remain hidden while testing is ongoing to ensure proper stability before the general public can access it.
