WhatsApp Rolls Out Group Voice/Video Call Button, Multi-share Feature, Sticker Search and More

WhatsApp is all set to introduce group video calling and voice calling separate buttons in WhatsApp groups which will come with an updated Android beta version 2.18.373.

This new feature will allow the users to call various members of the group by just clicking one button, it may also support Sticker Search option and Multi Share file feature.

To access this new feature of video calling and voice calling in any WhatsApp group chat, you need to go to that WhatsApp group chat then select call button which is present on the box beside the group’s name. That will give you an option to contact the members present in the group but the contacts must be saved in your mobile.

To use the new group voice/ video calling feature, go to any WhatsApp group chat and select the call button placed on the banner beside the group’s name.

This will give you the option to contact the members of the group (make sure the contacts are saved on your mobile) and with that, you’re good to go. It’s worth mentioning that you can only place a voice/ video call to a maximum of three members.

You can only contact at most three members for placing a video or voice call at a time.

There are few Multi-Share feature updates which are under development and will be available to use very soon.

This Multi-Share feature will allow the users to share files with the preview from third-party application to multiple contacts, which directly states that you will be able to share files from the Files app with more than two WhatsApp users at the same time.

If the Multi-Share Audio and Multi-Share File feature is brought up on the platform it would be a great update for the Application as well as for the users.

Lastly, the Stickers that were recently added to WhatsApp are tipped to be getting “search” icon to make it more convenient for the users. The feature is not live now, we checked on our Android device, which is running WhatsApp version 2.18.376.

However, it’s been reported that you can temporarily enable this feature without waiting for WhatsApp. To turn the Sticker Search option on tap on a received sticker, then View More, you’ll get the search tab. Notably, the steps didn’t work when we tried on our device.
