WhatsApp and Google announced a partnership today with a feature added to its messaging app which integrate Google Drive storage to make backing up and restoring chats easy, now users won’t worry about losing anything important to them.

The feature will be rolling out to WhatsApp users from today but will take a “few months” to reach everyone. The back up will include chats, voice clips, photos and videos to a folder in your Drive automatically, as well as restoring all the data saved to a new phone in a few taps when you finally upgrade/lose/break your current handset.

Once the feature is available, you’ll find the option in WhatsApp’s settings.
