A year ago, WhatsApp celebrated the fact that one billion people were using Whatsapp every month. Now the messaging company led by by Jan Koum has just announced that one billion people around the world now use WhatsApp on a daily basis to stay in touch with their family and friends.
The monthly users have also grown to 1.3 billion while 55 billion messages are sent on the platform every day. In June last year, the company also celebrated users making 100 million calls on WhatsApp daily.

In comparison, the parent body Facebook announced in June this year that it now had 2 billion monthly users.
