Your guess is as good as mine on what a Nigerian CEO will do if he finds one of his employees sleeping. Did you come to work to sleep? A rhetorical question the employee will not dare answer! See me in my office. That employee is gone!
But, when billionaire owner of Virgin Atlantic, Sir Richard Branson, visited the Australia office of Virgin Atlantic in Sydney and found one of his cabin crew employees taking 40 winks. Rather than tongue-lash him, he took a picture with him!
He said in a blog post “There were certainly smiles, and laughter, all round at Virgin Australia. I popped into the office and airport to say hello and check in to see what the team are up to.
“This guy isn’t up to much at all – I caught him sleeping on the job! Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up. He must have thought he was dreaming because he went straight back to sleep. To be fair, he was on standby, getting some much-needed rest.”
Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson (born 18 July 1950) is an English business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is best known as the founder of Virgin Group, which comprises more than 400 companies.
Don’t you wish you have this kind of boss?
