Office Space provider, Wework will open its second African location in Cape Town South Africa. The first location in Africa was also in South Africa but in Johannesburg.
Founded in 2010, the American company provides shared workspaces for technology startup subculture communities, and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups, small businesses and large enterprises.
“As WeWork prepares to launch its first location in South Africa, we’re pleased to announce our expansion to Cape Town. Not only is it a flourishing city in terms of culture and opportunity, but for business, it’s a central point for entrepreneurs and large companies to be based.
“Since announcing our expansion to South Africa, we’ve seen great interest from companies of all sizes, including Naspers, who will be moving into our first location in Johannesburg later this year,” said Patrick Nelson, head of WeWork EMEA.
“We recently found that 54% of members globally credit WeWork for accelerating their company’s growth. Companies – both small and large – use our global membership to connect with each other, support each other’s growth, and network with like-minded individuals.”
The cape Town office is set to open in Q4 this year.
