WeFarm has welcomed Adam Neilson to join their team as CTO.
Neilson, who previously held CTO positions at a number of startups including Probability, Seamonster, HealthUnlocked and Rareburg, has experience in building social networks and designing and building robust systems and architecture. Neilson has also spent many years working on mobile technologies platforms used by both smart and older “feature” phones.
On joining WeFarm, Neilson said “When I first heard about the work WeFarm has been doing impacting farmers lives in such a positive way I was bowled over. After digging a little deeper, I found more data than you can shake a stick at, a cutting edge machine learning platform and I knew this was something I had to be a part of.”
Kenny Ewan, WeFarm founder and CEO commented, “We’re delighted to have Adam on board to develop the next version of WeFarm’s technology. With 70,000 users and 10.5 million interactions on our network we’re excited to build on the success of our first year by launching a smarter, faster, more intelligent system, led and designed by Adam.”
Currently closing their seed round for £1.3m, WeFarm intends to scale to 1 million farmers in the next 12 months.
