Google just updated its YouTube app for iOS and this update isn’t just a regular bug fixes update, it comes with a new feature which makes finding VR(Virtual reality) content very easy. Of course you’ll have to own a Google Cardboard to actually enjoy the VR experience.
The app now includes a Cardboard button, which automatically transforms any video into VR mode for watching with Google Cardboard.
The best part is, you can now split any YouTube video in half and watch it with Google Cardboard, though the VR mode isn’t as great as watching a 360 degree video but the experience is still great to watch.
To access the VR mode, hit the quality controls and you should see he Cardboad button but remember, to access this mode, you must be running YouTube version 11.18 or later. Tapping the Cardboard button will automatically split the video in half, that is all.
Download YouTube for iOS on the App Store.
