The annual technology conference, VivaTech, based in Paris, has officially opened applications for the fourth edition of its AfricaTech Awards. These awards are designed to recognize and support startups that are making significant strides in creating a positive impact in key sectors such as green technology, e-health, and e-commerce/fintech.
The AfricaTech Awards initiative by VivaTech aims to foster new opportunities for emerging startups across the African continent. The program is structured to facilitate valuable networking and mentoring experiences, connecting startups with influential leaders in the technology sector, prominent investors, policymakers, and various institutions.
This year, the awards feature three distinct challenges focusing on green technology, e-health, and e-commerce/fintech. Finalists selected in these categories will have the unique opportunity to attend the VivaTech event and present their products on stage, showcasing their innovations to a wider audience.
To be eligible for the AfricaTech Awards, startups must be headquartered in Africa, focus on the African market, and have successfully raised over US$150,000 in funding.
Applications for the AfricaTech Awards are now open and will remain so until March 2. Interested startups can apply through the designated application portal.
