Vitel Wireless to Launch Nigeria’s First MVNO on Oct 30

Vitel Wireless has announced the official launch of its mobile network service, introducing Nigeria’s first-ever Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) with the unique 0712 prefix. The launch, themed “Blue is Here,” is scheduled for October 30, 2025, and marks a major milestone in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry.

Positioning itself as a next-generation network provider, Vitel Wireless aims to redefine communication for individuals and businesses through speed, innovation, and trust. With its bold tagline — “Everything Connected” — the company seeks to bridge digital gaps across Nigeria by offering smarter, more flexible connectivity options.

At the launch event, Vitel will unveil a range of products and services, including E-SIMs, physical SIM cards, and enterprise connectivity solutions. These are designed to provide users with reliable data access, seamless calls, and integrated digital tools for both personal and professional use.

According to a company spokesperson, the upcoming launch represents more than a network debut.

“We’re not just launching a network — we’re launching a lifestyle powered by innovation, speed, and trust. The 0712 Network marks a new chapter in how Nigerians connect to the world,” the spokesperson said.

The introduction of MVNOs like Vitel Wireless is expected to boost competition and expand access to affordable connectivity in Nigeria, aligning with the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) recent regulatory push to open up the telecom space to virtual operators.

As anticipation builds for the “Blue is Here” event, Vitel Wireless is encouraging Nigerians to “switch to blue” — a call to embrace the next wave of connected experiences.
