    Kenyan payments platform, Pesaflow, and digital payments titan, Visa, have joined forces to enhance digital payments within the Kenyan government. This alliance is poised to greatly boost the efficiency, transparency, and inclusiveness of public services while also fostering financial inclusion.

    Pesaflow is a platform that provides a unified citizen profile and easy access to over 5,000 services from more than 100 Ministries, Counties, Departments, and Agencies of the Kenyan government.

    As a subsidiary of Value 8 Group of companies, the creator of the eCitizen online portal which avails various services to Kenyans, Pesaflow’s solutions provide platforms for government services and offer a reliable means of collecting payments from the public.

    Pesaflow now intends to elevate its services by providing enhanced solutions to the public sector and citizens using government services through Visa’s network and security infrastructure.

    The collaboration will concentrate on developing straightforward and user-friendly digital payment systems, incorporating digital and virtual cards, and secure gateway services.

    Visa’s Government Solutions team will work hand in hand with Pesaflow to transition government services into digital formats and incorporate Visa’s solutions. The aim is to provide citizens with multiple payment options and simplify the process for the government to collect taxes, promoting improved financial management, cost reductions, and superior public services.

    Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Country Manager, Visa Kenya, said;

    We’re delighted to announce Visa’s strategic partnership with Pesaflow, a pioneering fintech firm offering innovative digital payment solutions. Together, we aim to revolutionize the landscape of digital payments within the public sector, ensuring accessibility, security, and efficiency. This collaboration underscores our commitment to partnering with local FinTechs to drive financial inclusion and transform how transactions are managed.
