Venture for Africa, a prominent talent hub known for sourcing exceptional hires for the technology startup sector on the African continent, has forged a collaborative effort with Africa Product Peers, a professional community for those in product management, design, and technology roles, to initiate a specialized career bootcamp aimed at mid-level professionals in Africa.

Established as a conduit for top-tier global talent to seamlessly transition into the burgeoning African tech startup scene, Venture for Africa (VFA) offers a flagship three-month fellowship program. This program is meticulously designed to immerse participants in the intricacies of local markets, provide targeted expert-led training for pivotal roles, and connect them with leading startups that are actively recruiting.

VFA’s programs are crafted in close partnership with startups, incorporating practical projects for fellows to undertake, specialized workshops led by industry experts, and a streamlined process for fellows to accelerate through job interviews for their ideal positions upon completing the program’s educational components.

The new alliance with Africa Product Peers will grant access to an exclusive career bootcamp, specifically curated for mid-career professionals who have accumulated 3 to 8 years of experience.

Leveraging VFA’s proven track record in placing mid-to-senior level talent and conducting successful role-specific bootcamps, along with Africa Product Peers’ expertise in cultivating a leading tech community in Kenya and facilitating job placements for its members, the bootcamp is poised to furnish participants with the requisite skills, support, and networking opportunities to excel in the competitive tech industry.

Tobi Lafinhan, CEO and co-founder of Venture for Africa, expressed a deep commitment to enabling professionals to flourish within the dynamic tech landscape of Africa.

“Our mission is to close the talent-opportunity divide within the African startup ecosystem,” Lafinhan stated. “This collaboration with Africa Product Peers expands our reach to mid-career professionals. By combining our specialized knowledge with the community-centric model of Africa Product Peers, we are confident in our ability to make a substantial impact on the career trajectories of mid-level professionals across the continent.”
