One of my favourite parts of using a new gadget is taking it out of its box. As is our custom, we have unboxed the TECNO Phantom 6 – TECNO’s newest flagship device for the next couple of months.
We have unboxed many devices from the Chinese Tech giants, but we have never been met with anything like this. The box arrived so big and my mouth won’t stop watering; wondering what could be packed inside.
Inside the gift pack above, you have an earphone, a tempered glass, a USB Type C adapter for when you lose your USB Type C charger and a smart pouch for your perusal.
As we’ve seen, most of the leak renders turned out true and the Phantom 6 has, infact, been underrated thus far. She has come bigger than a unicorn.

The Phantom 6 has been termed beauty by Tech giants because of its specifications and feminine nature while the Phantom 6 plus has been named beast because of its masculine nature and specifications. TECNO has included the USB Type C fast charging which is extremely necessary considering its major difference between the Type B and C.
The phone also has a very sleek feel, and we picked up the Champagne Gold variant which emphasizes the 6.15mm ultra slim metal sleekness of the device.
The dual camera has been greatly improved. It has an Optical Image Stabilization feature and a f/2.0 aperture which helps lighting and Depth Of Field. It also comes with a focus and refocus feature which helps you lay emphasis on a part of the subject you choose.
The Phantom 5 was one of my favourite TECNO phones while the Camon C9 had one of the best cameras this year. The Phantom 6 however seems like a blend of both devices.
Overall, there is no denying that TECNO has definitely made major improvements with the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 plus, and while we are reserving final judgement for the full review – which is going to be in-depth, the Phantom 6 has certainly been impressing more people than we can imagine. The full review is coming soon.
