X has gained recognition as a standout hiring engine, highlighted by the recent debut of XHiring which underscores the company’s strengths. The rollout of the XHiring Beta, available exclusively to Verified Organisations, marks a significant advancement in this direction.
With the launch of X’s new feature, it’s rivaling LinkedIn, allowing Verified Organisations to leverage the Beta by showcasing pivotal roles on their profiles, organically reaching out to millions of potential candidates. It’s important to note that user profiles are currently independent of job applications, and X is committed to ensuring that your profile doesn’t hinder your job prospects.
The above 13-second video illustrates the appearance of the Hiring feature on desktop (also recently launched on iOS, while Android and global visibility are on the horizon). Explaining the feature’s mechanics, Adrian Carbone, X’s Product Manager, revealed that applicants still directly engage with the company’s applicant tracking system.
This early version empowers organisations to list their current job openings for increased discoverability on X. Plans are in place to explore the potential to manage applicants directly on X, particularly beneficial for smaller companies that may lack a fully established ATS.
Presently, your X profile isn’t inherently linked to job applications. Twitter/X aims to pave the way for users to choose to incorporate their profiles as part of their applications, if desired. The user could leverage their X profile, for instance, to showcase a portfolio as a designer or share engineering work. The platform is open to feedback on optimizing this approach.
This is just the beginning, and we’ve got so much more planned to make @X the best hiring engine to exist.

This development appears to challenge LinkedIn’s status quo. The announcement has already generated enthusiasm, prompting users to embrace XHiring. A verified user’s response encapsulated the sentiment: “LinkedIn is so cluttered and clunky. I hope X Hiring will be way more intuitive and beautifully designed! X is just taking on all the various existing social media giants.”
Twitter acquired Laskie in May, a transaction valued in the “tens of millions in cash and stock,” according to Axios. Laskie, originally a job-matching platform connecting tech jobs with candidates, has been seamlessly integrated into X’s system.
The acquisition, coupled with the introduction of XHiring, aligns with Elon Musk’s ambitious plan of transforming Twitter into an all-encompassing app, further solidifying the company’s trajectory toward becoming an expansive platform beyond its initial scope.
