International social media platform Twitter this morning launched its official account for Africa’s leading tech countries – Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa

All of the Twitter handles have been verified and although the same tweets are on the respective handles, expectations are that each specific Twitter account would focus on contents that are best fit for each country.

The official handle for Nigeria is @TwitterNigeria, the account created for Kenya is @TwitterKenya while South Africans can follow @TwitterSA – all which are verified accounts.

The choice of Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa further affirms these countries’ stronghold on the tech sphere, especially social media in Africa.

As at noon, TwitterNigeria has more followers than the rest although the handles had sent same tweets.
