Back in May, Twitter announced they’d be making some changes to the social media platform. Most notably, that users will no longer have to deal with media like photos and gifs counting against the 140 character limit.

Yes, on Monday Twitter made it official by rolling out the new changes. Some users fear advertisers and markers will take advantage of the additional real estate, others just want to gap their edit option.
Obviously, not everyone is thrilled about the new update. That said, the update should give those of your who use the quote tweet a little more room to play with.
It could have been a lot worse though, back in January Twitter spoke of expanding the platform’s limit to ten thousand characters. Though thankfully, it appears they backed off that idea.
