Twitter has upgraded its native video sharing to now be directly embeddable. Before now, users intending to share video tweets outside Twitter had to embed the whole tweet but about a day ago, Twitter silently added an embed video option to tweet videos.

This is the same silent way Twitter unrolled the video tweets feature to its service at the end of January 2015. Before now, users had to make use of Vine’s seamless integration with Twitter to share videos. The Twitter native video feature has a 30 second limit and it is not constrained by the square proportion of Vine and Instagram videos.
Twitter’s video feature is expected to rival Facebook’s video sharing which has been gaining considerable traction of recent.
