    TweetDeck is no longer free

The latest change to Elon Musk’s X? TweetDeck — rebranded as XPro — is now a paid service, no longer free to use. In July, the company’s support account posted about a “new, improved version of TweetDeck”, stating that in 30 days, users must be verified to use the service — in other words, they must be Blue subscribers.

We have just launched a new, improved version of TweetDeck. All users can continue to access their saved searches & workflows via https://t.co/2WwL3hNVR2 by selecting “Try the new TweetDeck” in the bottom left menu.

Some notes on getting started and the future of the product…

The change seems to have been implemented as of this week. When searching for TweetDeck or XPro, I was taken straight to a subscription page for Blue (once known as Twitter Blue).

Social media consultant and analyst Matt Navarra wrote that the change is “bad news for social media managers, journalists, and power users.” TweetDeck, a social media dashboard of sorts, offers tools like organizing tweets, juggling multiple accounts, and accessing crucial engagement and real-time stats.

X has finally killed free access to tweetdeck

    It’s now officially a Premium subscriber-only tool

a sales page for X Premium now pops up when trying to lead Tweetdeck.
