Google has just unveiled a new device which can turn your LCD display or TV into a computer.  The device is ASUS Chromebit dongle. All you have to do is plug the chromebit into the TV via the HDMI port and you have a full-fledged Chrome OS computer that can run the kind of software available on a personal computer, from word processors to spreadsheets.

Priced at just $100, the chromebit is the perfect upgrade for an existing desktop and this should be really useful for schools and businesses.

Interestingly this is an innovative way to push the Chrome OS to all homes within the shortest possible time, challenging Microsoft for control in this space

The chromebit will be available this summer 2015.
