Imaginario AI, a UK-based startup that utilizes AI for processing video and audio content, has secured a $1 million pre-seed funding round to bolster its international expansion.

Established in 2021 by Jose Puga and Abdelhak Loukkal, Imaginario AI transforms the handling of video and audio content through artificial intelligence. Its robust AI-powered API and platform can manage large data quantities, considerably simplifying and speeding up the processes for creating and understanding multimedia content for marketers and content creators.

Notably, major Hollywood studios and media companies – including Warner Bros. Discovery, Universal Pictures, and Cineverse – reported that Imaginario AI has cut search and creation time by over 60%.

With the aim to extend its global market presence, the startup has finalized a $1 million pre-seed funding round, spearheaded by a Tunisian fund — 216 Capital and supported by Blue Lake VC, Earthling Ventures, Comcast NBCUniversal, Techstars, and several business angels.

This investment will facilitate the startup’s growth and the expansion of its engineering and sales teams in the United States, Europe, and the MENA region.
