Tunisian startup Konnect, a trailblazer in digital payment solutions across North Africa, has successfully secured funding from Renew Capital to facilitate its expansion efforts. Established in 2021 and holding a license from the Central Bank of Tunisia, Konnect provides a comprehensive suite of payment solutions, including seamless payment links, e-commerce plugins, and a robust API. These offerings are designed to accommodate businesses of varying sizes, enhancing their online payment experiences.
Konnect’s services are meticulously crafted to ensure quick, secure, and efficient transactions, thereby fostering business growth and simplifying e-commerce interactions. The startup has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Renew Capital, an impact investment firm with a focus on Africa, marking its first investment in Tunisia. This capital injection will be instrumental in scaling Konnect’s operations.
Through strategic partnerships, notably with Visa, Konnect is at the forefront of the region’s transition to digital payments. This collaboration aims to make secure and efficient financial services more accessible to a broader audience.
“We founded Konnect with the vision of making digital payments more accessible, secure, and user-friendly,” stated Amin Ben Abderrahman, the founder of Konnect. “Our platform is designed to support both individuals and businesses, enabling them to manage their payments effortlessly. We are thrilled to continue our expansion across North Africa, offering innovative financial services that meet the needs of underserved communities.”
Karim Ben Fadhel, the investment ecosystem development manager at Renew Capital, praised Konnect for setting a new benchmark in digital payments within the region. “Their platform not only simplifies financial transactions but also paves the way for greater financial inclusion. We are proud to support Amin and his team as they lead the charge in expanding access to secure and scalable payment solutions,” he remarked.
